STUDY PREPARATION PROGRAM 2011

 Located in North Hall (Aula Utara) Faculty of Economy, Universitas Islam Indonesia, International Program (IP) students conducted an event with titled "Study Preparation Program 2011". This program followed by 2011 students from IP Faculty of economy, Faculty of Industarial Engineering, and Faculty of Law. This event aimed to give understanding to new students about international program itself. In this event, the new students got some explanation about IP establishment, Bridging Program session, organization session, and talkshow with IP students who has exchange abroad to open their mind about global experience. Actually, this event divided into two chapters, first chapter is formal event that consist of what I said before. Second chapter is informal event that consist of music event. Every students from every faculty have to present their perform. Not only the new students, but also the committee have to present their perform.

KOREA : Overseas Immersion Program 2011

Saturday, October 22th 2011, UII sent 30 students to SolBridge International School of Business in Daejeon, South Korea for Overseas Immersion Program. Fortunately, within this group there are 7 International Program  FTI Students, they are Nanda, Aziz, Adit, Risha, Tufa, Adi, and Arman. This program ran for 1 week, from 22th - 30th October 2011. This program contains among other activities such as company visit, culture classes, and lectures. This program aimed to increase ability to participate in academic sessions of a real business university, learning from world-class scholars, getting to know university students from other countries, learning more about cooperation of world of Academia and Business, and learning about how Korea, as one of the fastest growing Economic powers.


In the first day, we had 3 lectures with 3 different lecturer, they are CEO of B Braun Asia/Pacific, Mr. Kim Hae Dong, Prof. Dawn Devies, and Prof. Dilip. K. Das. Prof. Dawn Devis taught us about intercultural exchanges, we divided into a several groups that consist of students who come from different town to understand what their culture. Prof. Dilip K. Das explained about Asian Business, it was very interesting. And the CEO of B Braun held some quiz and one of us could solve the quiz (her name is Novi, FTI reguler student).
The second day, we had trip to Seoul, we visited LG+, Samsung d'Lite, Myeongdong and Seoul Tower. We looked the next generation of data transmission, it is LTE (Long Term Evolution), this technology allowed us to make chain network in some area.
The third day, we went to ETRI (Electronic Telecommunications Research Institute), this research centre was invented a CDMA technology. Then, we visited Korean Gingseng Company, Chan Kwang Jan, the biggest gingseng company in Korea. We looked how ginger could ready to serve after passed a several prcocess.
The Fourth day, we visit Hyundai Motor in Ulsan, POSCO in Pohang and a water garden in Kyeongju. Hyundai is one of the biggest company in Korea, in nest day we would to visit the Hyundai Heavy Industry.
The fifth day, we visited Hyuandai Heavy Industri as I told in previous chapter. In the evening, we had farewell celebration and certificate distribution.
The sixth day, we had trip to Seoul again, but this trip we gathered with Woosong University student, we visited Nandaemun market, Myeongdong, and Kyeonbukung Palace.
The seventh day, we depart for Jakarta.

Inauguration 2011

Inauguration 2011 was held in Hotel Kana, Kaliurang Yogyakarta from 19th - 20th October 2001 with 18 participants (2011's students). Inauguration 2011 was managed by 14 committee from 2010's students.
Departure from UII's boulevard, the participants went to Kaliurang by public transportation, it made their relationship become stronger than usual, because they demanded to search the public transportation. After they arrived in Kaliurang, the seniors has prepared some games to foster the relationship between them. After that, the opening ceremony was held and continued with organizational session by Arman who was replacing Ryan Martino as CIS Chief that could not be attended at the time. the next session is Industrial session by Mr. M. Ridwan Andi Purnomo. S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D that delivered an industrial knowledge. The peak event was Inauguration Night that the participants introduced their self to the senior students.
Second day, we started with ajojing  with the leaders are Arman and Riza. After we had breakfast, we were going to next activity, ODMG (Oubond Management Games), this games consist of 4 kind of games, that have a special purposes in character building and soon. The final session is Mr. Aang session with Religion session and Character Building session (little part was ESQ). After that, we prepared to go home.

General Lecture: Green Community Services, Bringing Renewable Energy Technology and Innovation to The Public

Today, Friday September 30th 2011, International Program, Industrial Engineering held a general lecture with title "GREEN COMMUNITY SERVICES : Bringing Renewable Energy Technology and Innovation to The Public" presented by Prof. Dato' Dr. Kamaruzzaman bin Sopian from Universiti Kebangsaan Malayasia. He brought a new idea to use a renewable or an alternative energy resource to minimize cost. In his presentation. He not only explained about the direct solar energy in many sectors, but also about indirect solar energy(exp:water/hydro, air/wind). He tried to make renewable energy that can used by a limited person, so it can help people who do not enough money to get an electricity. He also explained about the application of solar cell that used in agriculture and marine industry.

Social Devotion 2011

Assalamualiakum wr. wb.
Alhamdulillah ya, I come back again with latest activity of IP's students. Yesterday, a new students (2011 student) held a social devotion in Al-Lathief orphanage. In that orphanage there are 18 children that stayed there. They come from some towns in Indonesia, they are : Wonigiri, Gunung Kidul, Palembang, and Banjarnegara. Many activities arranged by new students in their visit yesterday, there are recitation with the speech for Mr. Suyatno, as a chief of the orphanage, delivery the logistic support, also some games to amuse the children. I post some pictures, so you can imagine that you were there yesterday.

WELCOME TO NEW ACADEMIC YEAR 2011-2012

Welcome, after long holiday from July till September, we start our new year academic this week. Before I start to tell you about this new academic year, I want to say HAPPY EID MUBARAK 1432 H, minal aidzin wal faidzin, forgive all of my mistakes everyone.
This year we gain a lot of new students, there are 23 new students of International Program Faculty of Industrial Technology. We have 18 boys and 5 girls, but I cannot mention it because Momo brings the list. And this semester we start to use a new curriculum after the faculty changed the curriculum 2 months ago. I will post the new curriculum to make you understand what we have learned.

AID-C 2011 : Active Innovative Debating Competition 2011

AID-C 2011

What is AID-C 2011?

AID-C (Active Innovative Debating Competetion 2011) is debating contest that held by Community of International Students International Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology, UII. This contest will be held at 14-15 May 2011 in FIT building, UII, Jalan Kaliurang km. 14,5 Yogyakarta.

The contest followed by all schools in Yogyakarta and around it. This contest has purpose to increase the abilty to convey own argument especially in english, that we know is the international language and as the main weapon to face globalisation.

Hallo , IP-ers, we just want to share our latest activity. Last Tuesday, we had second visiting company for this year, Actually, Me(admin) brought my camera, but I was very surprise with the company so I forgot to bring my camera during the tour. Also, we didn't get permission to take picture in the factory area.
In that afternoon, we met with Mrs. Ida as Public Relation of PT. Coca-Cola Bottling Indonesia. She gave us a little history about Coca-Cola and also complete steps to make Coca-Cola itself. And the important thing is we got a bottle of Coca-Cola free.... #assekkkkk. And finally, we got tour that shoe how Coca-Cola was produced.

Visit Company a.k.a VISCOM

Long time no see, its time ti share what we did recently. Last week we had visiting company to Jakarta and Bandung. These is official activity from university. We would go to some company or factory and watched the manufacture process and etc.
We have 3 company here, they are : PT. Kramayudha Ratu Motor, PT. Megalopolis Manunggal 2100, and PT. Pindad (Persero). Let we discuss about it, but I'm sorry we are prohibited to use camera in those factory so no photos here, but I will explain and show little section when we had viscom.

This is one of subsidiary of PT. ASTRA, especially produce commercial vehicle, that is Mitshubishi. We saw how the vehicle was produced (assembly) until it become a car.

One of the industrial development company in Bekasi. This company offers some industrial area and they will manage also develop this area to be great industrial area, also they apply green industry that support save environment movement. You can check the profile company here .

PT. Pindad (Persero)

What are you thinking now? revolver?? That's right. Our final destination is PT. Pindad (Persero), one of state-owned enterprise that concern about national defence equipment. This company has many division, they are: wrought and cast, battle equipment, weapons, missile, explosive (for mining), and some equipment for train and ship.

That's all our trip a.k.a visiting company 2011...
