fellow of IP FIT UII!
Recently,
a competition was held by Project Management Institute (PMI) – Indonesia Chapter in
association with Universitas Gadjah Mada that called Project Management
Challenge 2016. Project Management Challenge 2016 aims for increasing the awareness and understanding of project management
for undergraduate and master program students in Asia-Pacific. The competition
was held for three days, starts from May 27th until May 29th
2016 at Hotel Alana, Tentara Pelajar Street, Palagan, Yogyakarta. This year,
FIT UII send a team called Zwint Team that consists of four students of IP FIT
UII named Gusti Adli,
Ahmad Rivqy, Azizah Nur Ilmi, and Hendro Priyono. Those four students felt that with participating in this
competition will be very beneficial for students because it will enhance the
student’s understanding of project management knowledge and practice. On the
other hand, students are also to obliged to uphold the department, faculty,
university and country-to add "coffers" UII achievements in the
international environment and also uphold IP UII. As a result, Zwint Team
succeed to reach Best Poster this year with the complex informative
socio-preneurship project than other team.

of Industrial Engineering IP UII!
Earlier this year, Community of International Student or also known as
CIS continue to carry on the annual event called VISCOM 2016. From 18th
January until 23rd January 2016, we go to the West region of Java to
visit 4 companies that are located in Cilacap, Ciherang, and Sukabumi. We would
like to share our experience on this year VISCOM trip. The 4 companies are PT.
Pertamina Persero, Cilacap; PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk, Cilacap; PT. Tirta
Investama, Ciherang (Danone Aqua); and last, PT. Yakult Indonesia, Sukabumi. Here are our little story about our trip.
PT. Pertamina Persero - Refinery Unit IV,
Cilacap
On the first day of visiting company, we arrived at PT. Pertamina
Refinery Unit IV, Cilacap. There we were welcomed by the head of the refinery
unit IV and other staffs, also introduced to the company by presentation and
Q&A session. PT. Pertamina Refinery Unit IV is one of the 7 Pertamina
Refinery Unit in Indonesia with the biggest production capacity of 348.000
barrel per day and hold 60% of fuel needs in Java. RU IV is located at Kawasan
Industri Cilacap, Jl. MT. Haryono No. 77, Cilacap Tengah, Jawa Tengah. This
refinery unit is only processing from the Middle East Crude with the facility
to support all the needs of the refinery unit IV. After the presentation, all
of the participants of Viscom 2016 have a factory trip using bus to look
directly at the refinery unit.

PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk, Cilacap
Moving forward, we continue our visit to PT. Holcim Indonesia,Tbk that
located in Cilacap. We already know that every time we hear the word “Holcim”,
that means cement. That is right, PT Holcim Indonesia is one of the biggest
cement production in Indonesia. This factory not only producing cement but
other products for houses and building development. Nowadays, Holcim Indonesia are
establishing some facilities like Solusi Rumah, MiniMix Truck, Speed Crete and
more. All plants of Holcim are directly monitored by German so no mistakes were
made while through the production process.

Two companies were visited and we continue our journey to Jakarta to see
the live show on NET.TV studio. After one night stay in the capital city of
Indonesia, following the trip to the next two companies, PT. Tirta Investama
(Danone Aqua) and PT. Yakult Indonesia Persada in Sukabumi area.
PT. Tirta Investama (Danone Aqua), Ciherang
Next factory is the biggest mineral water
production and supplier in Indonesia or as we known by the name of Aqua. The
participants of Viscom 2016 are welcomed in the factory by Mr. Rekta Maulana
from the company’s logistic division and the head of the Ciherang Plant, Mrs.
Vijaya Anggraini. We were shown and explained that the process of Aqua is very
hygiene and using the most high technology machine. One of the machine that
produces the product is called Bardi machine with the capacity of 2400 bph.
Ciherang Plant is only producing one product of Aqua that is 19 L gallon and
can produces 2.7 million gallon per month.

PT. Yakult Indonesia Persada - Cicurug,
Sukabumi
The last company we visited is every
family’s favorite drink, Yakult. Yakult factory is located at Desa Pesawahan,
Cicurug, and build since April 1st 1997. Through some process and
production, Yakult product can be delivered to the society with its benefit.
Before the workers start the production process, they need to get sterilize by
their clothes and body. We get the opportunity to seeing the actual process of
Yakult from pre-production until the finishing touch that is packaging.

Now that we are
done with the visiting company, a little vacation was provided to us by going
to Bandung and Pangandaran. Here are the activities that were done while we’re
staying in Bandung and going to Pangandaran.
